SHE Charleston Charleston Area Convention Center Charleston, South Carolina Friday, Saturday, Sunday September 27-29, 2013
Alright Vendors - SHE Charleston is looking for local artisans with unique goods to vend at their September event here in town. Here's the rundown on SHE:
SHE is a party, a culinary experience, a learning opportunity and a shopping spree, all rolled into one! With fashion shows, demonstrations, giveaways, celebrity appearances and hundreds of vendors and boutiques, SHE is the ultimate girls’ night (or afternoon) out. Vendor spaces are 10x10 and cost $395 for all 3 days; they are expecting thousands of ladies from all over the Lowcountry. If you're interested, reach out to Erica, at the info below. It sounds like a fun event, with Elise Testone performing and Vern Yip (HGTV) on site. Vendor details located at www.SHEchas.com or by contacting Erica@JBMShows.com.
That's right, tomorrow is the day! Can't wait to see everyone. Here are the details, one last time: 36 Local Vendors Handmade & Vintage 10 am - 3 pm Saturday, April 13th Admission is free. Check out the vendors. Just a few quick tips to get ready!
Once again, the Artist Market is just a few short days away. While the format is generally the same, I thought you might need a little heads up on what to expect - in case you haven't been or it's been a while.
Just a couple things to remember: These vendors make handmade, unique items. There's a limited quantity, so the earlier you come, the larger selection you'll see. Not to say anyone will run out. Our folks are prepared, but they do generally have a limited number of each item.
I'm assuming that the majority of the vendors now accept credit cards, but just to be safe, you might want to bring a little cash. The Music Farm has an ATM on site, but it does have a $3 fee.
Because everything is handmade, a lot of the vendors are willing to create custom items for you. So if you see something you like, but want slightly different - say, a particular color set of earrings - ask if it's possible to place a custom order. Finkelstein's Center creates custom stuffed animals. Inherited takes wish list requests. You may be able to pick up your Mother's Day cards AND plan to get your wedding/shower/birthday invites custom made. Lots of options, so don't be afraid to ask!
Come hungry! We have several snack/lunch options this time. Cory's Grilled Cheese will be on site, so if you're into cheese, bacon, or a combination of the two - you'll be happy. Check out a sample menu here. Haypenny Confections, who create specialty s'mores, and the Orange Spot Coffeehouse, who'll have hot and cold nonalcoholic drinks, like apple pie, cha yen, and of course, coffee, will be back for this market as well. Lastly, it'll be 70 degrees, so pick up something fun from King of Pops. He's under the huge umbrella. Can't miss it!
And the Music Farm bar will be open, so sip on a bloody mary or mimosa (that will be on special) while you shop. Makes impulse buying even easier! Pet Helpers will be in the balcony on the right, with puppies and kittens up for adoption. Some come prepared to fall in love and take someone home.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Lowcountry Artist Market Saturday, starting at 10 am.
I'm a fan of cheese. Lots of cheese. Fancy or cheap - it's all wonderful to me. So I'm really excited to welcome Cory's Grilled Cheese to the Artist Market. He'll be set up. slinging sandwiches all day. Come hungry!
My mental shopping list wasn't going to cut it for the next Artist Market, so I went visual. Check out my Etsy.com Treasury, featuring vendors from the April 13th Market:
