FAQ

What is the Lowcountry Artist Market?

The Artist Market was created in June 2010, when I recognized a need in the arts community.  After realizing that 100s of local vendors were selling their goods on Etsy.com, I decided that there needed to be a place for these vendors to sell locally - and since I was employed as the GM of the Music Farm, it was a perfect fit. I no longer work for the Music Farm, but plan to continue hosting the Market there. - Kristen Gastaldo

While the Market is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the vendors and community, the idea remains the same - 40 or so local vendors, selling their creations.

Are credit cards accepted?

Each vendor handles their own transactions and many are equipped to accept cards, but it is wise to bring cash in case your favorite vendor is cash only.

There is an ATM on site, if needed.

Who can participate?

Anyone who creates!  All items for sale must be handmade or vintage.  A jury oversees all vendor applications and accepts them based on quality and uniqueness.  We have limited spaces available for each category of goods.

What does it cost?  What is included?

Each vendor is reserved one 6' table to vend.  Cost is currently $40/table.

The fee contributes to the venue space, table rental, and advertising.  Wireless internet and electricity are free and available for all vendors.

Do I need a business license?

If you operate a full-time business, your business license will do.  If you do not operate a full time business, you can purchase a retail license specifically for craft shows here.  You must bring a copy of your license to the event.
