The Fresh Stitch

Corinne Citrolo of The Fresh Stitch is personally one of my favorite vendors.  And I know I shouldn't play favorites, but there is ALWAYS something cute of hers that I feel like I need to pick up for my niece/friend's new baby/sibling of friend's new baby/cousin/everyone I know under the age of 10.

The Fresh Stitch came about when one day I woke up and decided to begin sewing! I am a happily married, stay at home mom to a fun and loving five year old girl and I also care for a three year old happy boy. With two children on my hands, where do I find time to sew? School mornings and late nights!! I have always found myself to have an eye for fashion and a love for shopping. So, searching for stylish fabrics couldn’t get better!! Being around two wonderful children all day, sewing and shopping all night, and adding fresh & modern styles to all ages … I couldn’t be happier!!

Nostalgic Graphic Tees

I love how much marketing our vendors do.  Check out this snazzy flyer from Nostalgic Graphic Tees

And here's a note from Elizabeth:

I am the owner of a commercial graphic design firm who has been inspired by my own children to branch out into clothing designs for kids.

Seeing my children grow and develop their imaginations made me feel nostalgic of some of my own childhood memories. I remembered the joy in picking a flower, playing on a see saw, twirling in a tutu, catching that first firefly of the summer, looking at clouds against a blue sky, blowing bubbles, fishing in grandaddy’s pond, riding a bike. I loved reliving those simple moments with my own family and wanted to capture them in some fashion.

My goal is to design products that are comfortable, unique, timeless, and age appropriate. This is the shirt that I hope you and your children will reach for time and time again!

Don't miss her at the Market!

Guest Post from Neve Inspired

Thank you Bob and Kris Galmarini for handling the Artist Market blog for me today.  I am always impressed with the level of professionalism and quality of goods from so many of our vendors.  And Neve Inspired is as legit as they come - in addition to having some of the cutest clothes for kids out there.  Check out their website or this prior blog post about them.  And don't miss them at the Lowcountry Artist Market!

Living in Charleston has been a dream for our little family of four, for many reasons- the history, the beauty, the beach. But, the most inspirational reason Charleston has won over our hearts is the ever-so-powerful creativity that is flowing through this town. Artists of all types, all styles, creating and supporting others to create as well. It is marvelous and is truly what has fueled us to continue our dream of having a children's clothing company.

Come join all of the brilliant local artists at the Lowcountry Artists Market on November 19th. As soon as you walk in the door you will undeniably feel the spirit of the creative community and see all the hardwork, love and passion that goes into each piece created. And then do this: buy something. Buy local for the holidays. Help keep fueling these artists passions for creating which, in turn, makes this city something spectacular.

Runaround Sue Vintage Boutique

So I stopped by Goodwill yesterday to pick up a few dishes to make on of these, and noticed lots of folks pillaging through the clothing.  Not having the patience that day to join in myself, I'm looking forward to having some vintage clothing right at my fingertips - thanks to Kelly Rae Smith of Runaround Sue Vintage Boutique

The idea and name of Runaround Sue was conceived several years ago on a lazy but creative Saturday in a flat on Constitution Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, with the help of a fellow vintage obsessive.
I have hand-picked each and every item listed from various cites in the US and Europe, some of which have been my very own, and hope to pass them on to someone who will love them all over again in a different city, for a different reason.

And its not just for the ladies.  Runaround Sue has a vintage for men section with western shirts, sweaters, jackets and even bowling shirts:

Or maybe you need something to play dress up in:

Or to wear to a tacky sweater party:

Whatever you're looking for in the vintage world, Runaround Sue Vintage Boutique has it!  Check her out at the Lowcountry Artist Market on November 19th!

Neve Inspired

Meet Bob & Kris Galmarini, founders of Neve Inspired, who create handmade children's clothing in their home studio:

Neve Inspired is unique, handmade clothes for our little ladies and lads. We feel inspired to do this and have so much fun coming up with and executing the designs in our home. We think (hope!) this labor of love comes across in each piece, and that your kids will have as much fun wearing it as we have had making it.

They are a super cute family.  And the clothes are just as adorable.

The Sibling
We screen print all our super soft t-shirts by hand in a home studio converted from what used to be our master bedroom. Our process is collaborative: we come up with and execute the designs together. Bob does most of the screen printing, Kris sews, and our kids, Neve and Shep, hang out and provide inspiration.

Oh, you should probably meet Neve:

Be on the lookout for a guest post from Kris soon, as Neve Inspired is making a few changes ...
and don't miss them at the Lowcountry Artist Market on Nov 19!
