Proud Mary, Retulled Tutus, Seek Vintage, Jess Ann Jewelry, Bean & Bug

More pics!

Proud Mary believes in design that solves problems. We create unique, handcrafted patterned goods that are made in a socially and ecologically responsible manner. Our aim is to establish healthy relationships with artisans in developing nations. These relationships offer a beneficial exchange of ideas and resources. Purchasing product along with access to new markets provides economic growth for the artisan and their families. Through our products, we hope to share the stories of the hands by which they are made.

It's never TULLE late to try a tutu!
Get a healthy dose of mayhem with ReTulled Tutus! For women and children, ReTulled's "tousled" tutus come in every size, shape, and color imaginable from metallic to glitter to glow-in-the dark.
All tutus are hand-crafted and can be custom ordered to fulfill any whim, theme, or holiday.

Seek Vintage

A twenty-something with a borderline obsessive love of all things vintage. Loves seeking out treasure among trash. If you're looking for something specific, I might be able to find it for you.

Jess Ann Jewelry

I, Jess Ann Smith, am a jewelry artist and designer.  I create jewelscapes inspired by
nature, color and light.
I am a dreamer. I tread gently on our earth.  I love laughter.  Always a beachcomber.  I crave the outdoors.  Iam always learning.  I love to listen.  I try to be compassionate.  My daughter is my masterpiece.  What else is there...breathe.

I am a stay-at-home mom of two little girls, Bean and Bug, living in Charleston, SC. My grandmother taught me to knit as a little girl and I have always loved the hobby. As my friends started having children, I began knitting baby clothes as gifts. Then I became a mom myself and was able to knit for my own girls. I have often been told that I should sell my knitting, so here it goes.

We are still working up all the numbers from the last event, but we just wanted to go ahead and say thank you Charleston - over 1000 people came to the Market!

What to Expect

With the Lowcountry Artist Market just one week away, I thought I should give you guys a little rundown, so you know what to expect.

The Artist Market consists of 40 local vendors, selling a variety of handmade and vintage goods.  Including, but not limited to:

Vintage Clothing
Handmade Jewelry
Children's Books
Children's Clothing
Purses
Stationary
Christmas Ornaments
Knit Scarves
Quilts
Adult Tshirts
Vintage Jewelry
Accessories
Home Goods
Print Art
Candles
Glassware
Stuffed Animals
Furniture

Goods range in price from $5 to $250+, with the average somewhere between $15-50.  Some, but not all of the vendors accept credit cards.  Some even accept checks.  But I suggest you come with some cash.  The Music Farm does have an ATM on site, in case you run low and your favorite items are cash only.

There are three entrances to the Music Farm - double doors at 32 Ann St, up the stairs beside the venue and in the alley between the Farm and Dudley's.  The alley way entrance is the ONLY entrance without stairs, so if you're traveling with a stroller, we suggest this way.  Just look for the food trucks and come in that way.

Speaking of food trucks, come hungry!  The Magic Cheese Truck and King of Pops will be on site, serving up tasty treats.  Who doesn't love a pimento cheese sandwich followed by an banana puddin' popsicle?!

The Music Farm will also have the bar open, running specials on mimosas, bloody marys and beers.  Just have your ID ready if you plan on partaking.  They accept cash and credit cards.

Oh, and the basics:

Admission is FREE.

The event runs from 10 am - 3 pm.

This is ONE DAY ONLY, so don't miss out.  The next Market won't come until Spring.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Market and local artists.  Thank you to the vendors for being so talented and hard working!  See everyone on Nov 19th!

The Fresh Stitch

Corinne Citrolo of The Fresh Stitch is personally one of my favorite vendors.  And I know I shouldn't play favorites, but there is ALWAYS something cute of hers that I feel like I need to pick up for my niece/friend's new baby/sibling of friend's new baby/cousin/everyone I know under the age of 10.

The Fresh Stitch came about when one day I woke up and decided to begin sewing! I am a happily married, stay at home mom to a fun and loving five year old girl and I also care for a three year old happy boy. With two children on my hands, where do I find time to sew? School mornings and late nights!! I have always found myself to have an eye for fashion and a love for shopping. So, searching for stylish fabrics couldn’t get better!! Being around two wonderful children all day, sewing and shopping all night, and adding fresh & modern styles to all ages … I couldn’t be happier!!
